Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Hyderabad on Friday to attend a wedding ceremony at Jalavihar.
Jagan came to the city for the wedding of the son of senior IPS officer P.S.R. Anjaneyulu, who had served as Intelligence Chief during his tenure as Chief Minister.
As soon as Jagan arrived at Begumpet Airport, a large number of supporters gathered to welcome him.
He then proceeded towards Jalavihar, where supporters were seen lining the route and greeting him enthusiastically.
Jagan acknowledged the crowd and waved to supporters as he moved through the gathering.
Many of his fans shouted “CM, CM” on seeing him.
Jagan has not visited Hyderabad frequently in recent times and has mostly been travelling between Tadepalli and Bengaluru.
The visit therefore attracted considerable attention among YSRCP supporters in Hyderabad.
A large number of flex banners were also put up in the city welcoming Jagan.
Interestingly, some of the flex banners also featured photographs of BRS leaders K. Chandrashekar Rao and K.T. Rama Rao, drawing political attention.
With a large turnout of supporters at the airport and along the route, Jagan’s Hyderabad visit once again created political buzz.
